Adobe and Nvidia said on October 15 that Photoshop, Premiere and Substance 3D have been rearchitected for Nvidia's RTX Spark superchip, which launched October 16. Adobe claims up to 2x faster AI processing, editing, color and effects on the new hardware, citing GPU-accelerated compositing in Photoshop and RTX-accelerated playback, rendering and AI tools in Premiere. The companies also said Frame.io now uses Nvidia video decoding and TensorRT for preprocessing and embedding generation; early results on selected transcode and search workloads showed about 5x faster embedding generation, a 4-5x improvement in P95 processing latency and an approximately 80% smaller search proxy. Separately, Adobe's Brand Concierge is now optimized with Nvidia's open Nemotron models, and Nvidia said it will use Brand Concierge on Nvidia.com.

Our take

Strip out agentic and the announcement is about local acceleration: AI features get faster because the GPU and unified memory are in the same box. The Frame.io numbers are the most concrete, but they come from selected workloads and are described as early results, not a general benchmark. The Brand Concierge detail is the tell - Nvidia is dogfooding the stack it sells, which is a better signal than the 2x claim.
