Speaking at a Microsoft event in San Francisco, NVIDIA's Jensen Huang and Microsoft's Satya Nadella outlined joint hardware and software work to run AI agents on Windows PCs. NVIDIA opened preorders for RTX Spark and put NVIDIA DGX Station for Windows into preview, while Microsoft announced general availability of its Execution Containers (MXC). Huang framed the change around agents running locally: "What happens in the era of agents, when the agent is on your computer? It is now your personal assistant." He tied the work to the platform's history too, saying, "If not for Windows there would be no GeForce." Microsoft EVP of Windows and Devices Pavan Davuluri joined the event.

Our take

Our take: Moving agents onto the PC is the natural next step, and it answers two real objections at once — response latency and data leaving the device. But "an agent on your computer" also raises the security bar, which is why the Execution Containers announcement matters more than the GPU branding: without solid sandboxing, a proactive local agent is a new attack surface. The question still to be settled is whether on-device models are good enough to make the pitch land, or whether users keep calling the cloud anyway.
